A Montana Culinary Initiative — Serving Every Montana Community

Every County. Every Table.

iq135 is Thomas Miller's most ambitious community initiative — a culinary program built to reach every corner of Montana's 56 counties. From Yellowstone County's 168,000 residents to Petroleum County's fewer than 500, from Beaverhead's 5,543 square miles of mountain and valley to the compact streets of Silver Bow — iq135 brings professional culinary education, seasonal menus, and food culture to every community the Big Sky State calls home.

The Mission

The Mission

Montana spans 147,000 square miles of mountain, prairie, and river valley — 56 counties, each with its own character, its own table, its own story. Two of those counties, Anaconda–Deer Lodge and Butte–Silver Bow, carry the weight of consolidated city-county history. Helena, the capital, anchors Lewis and Clark County. Billings, the state's largest city, rises from Yellowstone County. iq135 honors every one of them — because no community, no matter how remote, should be without access to great food, culinary knowledge, and the dignity of a well-set table.

The Landscape

From the Rockies to the Plains

Montana's counties vary as dramatically as its landscape. Beaverhead County stretches across 5,543 square miles — the largest in the state — while Silver Bow County covers just 718. Two counties operate as consolidated city-counties: Anaconda–Deer Lodge and Butte–Silver Bow, each carrying a legacy of industry, community, and resilience. iq135 was designed with this diversity in mind. A culinary initiative that works only in Billings or Missoula is not a Montana initiative. iq135 goes further.
